vK Games Ltd. is an independent app and game development studio based in Aberdeen on the north east coast of Scotland (UK), dedicated to creating memorable, beautiful, and fun apps that engage and delight users of all ages the world over.

History

Beginnings

Unofficially, vK Games began in 2018 when the founder, Phil van Kuyk, had an idea for a mobile video game and began looking into how to bring this idea into reality. Searching the internet for information and advice kept turning up the same basic premise - video game companies aren’t interested in your idea no matter how good you think it is! Undeterred, mainly due to the belief the idea was good, Phil decided to set up his own app development studio. With the help of friends and family, and after what seemed like an eternity of planning, development and organising, vK Games officially became a registered business in February 2020.
